The honest version
WHAT THIS DOG NEEDS
The Lhasa Apso is a small but sturdy dog breed with a long, flowing double coat and a history that reaches back more than a thousand years. Originating in the high-altitude monasteries of Tibet, these dogs were kept as sentinels and companions, valued for their keen hearing and alert nature. Their name derives from Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, and 'apso' is thought to relate to a goat-like appearance or a term for 'bark guard.' Today, they are cherished as companion animals, but their ancient heritage still shapes their personality and care requirements.
